 HAKO MINUTEMAN ACQUIRES PARKER SWEEPER
 ADDISON, Ill., May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Hako Minuteman, Inc.


(NASDAQ-NMS: HAKO), said today it has acquired, for cash, Parker Sweeper Company, a manufacturer of litter pick-up machines and lawn sweeping equipment. Incorporated in 1884, Parker Sweeper is the oldest manufacturer in Springfield, Ohio.
 Jerome E. Rau, Hako Minuteman's president and chief executive officer, said the purchase of Parker Sweeper broadens Hako Minuteman's product line. "The acquisition provides both short-term and long-term benefits to our company," he said. "We will immediately offer Parker Sweeper's products to our janitor supply distributors and expect this acquisition will significantly contribute to the future growth of our company."
 Headquartered in Addison, Hako Minuteman, Inc., manufactures one of the most complete lines of commercial and industrial vacuums, floor and carpet care equipment, and chemical cleaning and coating products in the United States and Canada.
