HADRON, INC., ANNOUNCES SECOND QUARTER FINANCIAL RESULTS

FAIRFAX, Va., Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Hadron, Inc. (NASDAQ: HDRN), today announced revenues of $6.3 million for the three months ended Dec. 31, 1992, compared to $7.7 million for the same period last year. Hadron reported net income of $56,349, or $.004 cents per share, for the current quarter, compared to net income of $85,605, or $.006 cents per share, for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 1991.
For the six months ended Dec. 31, 1992, Hadron reported revenues of $11.3 million and a net loss of $464,749, or a 3 cents per share loss, compared to revenues of $15.8 million and net income of $166,932, or 12 cents per share, for the six months ended Dec. 31, 1991.
As Hadron had anticipated, and had previously announced, second quarter revenues exceeded revenues realized in the first quarter of fiscal 1993, but were below those reported in the second quarter of fiscal 1992. If revenues continue to increase and costs are contained as anticipated, Hadron would expect to report a profit for the third fiscal quarter.
The decrease in revenues from comparable periods of last year are primarily due to increased activity levels within the particular client base served. As previously discussed, an overall lengthening of the contract procurement cycle has slowed the award process for new contracts to the company.
