H3 Hardy to design uptown tower.

H3 Hardy Collaboration Architecture, LLC, (H3) has been selected by World-Wide Holdings Corporation to design a new 30-story mixed use residential tower on the Upper East Side of Manhattan at 255 east 74th street.

H3's design investigates how vertical slices can create diagonal views on the exterior of this angular-form building. This opens up interior spaces while reinforcing the verticality of the building. The exterior skin of the tower will be sheathed in alternating bands of insulated glass and textured metal panels.

H3 Project Manager, Ariel Fausto, said, "H3 jumped at the chance to collaborate with World-Wide on this project. We feel that H3's reputation for creating spaces that are visually stimulating and World-Wide's desire to create family friendly residential facilities is a wonderful partnership."

The 200,000 s/f project will offer specially constructed playrooms in a portion of its more than 2,400 square-feet residences.

Additional building amenities will include child and teen recreational space, including: a toddler room with a cruising wall; climbing tree house; arts-and-crafts room; reading area; and game room with modern arcade games.

Residents will also have access to a 1,500 square-foot outdoor playground, and indoor lounges, kitchenettes and party rooms. Many of the 87 units will include 10-foot-high ceilings, balconies or terraces, fireplaces, Varenna cabinetry, Sub-Zero refrigerators, stone countertops, stainless steel Miele appliances, Waterworks fixtures, Toto toilets, and master bathrooms with heated floors.
