Gyroplane Sustains Flight Test Mishap.

) reported that their H2X production prototype gyroplane gyroplane: see autogiro.  experienced a roll-over incident on the ground today during series number fifty of their flight test program.

No one was injured; however, the aircraft sustained damage to the fuselage and to the rotor blades. The flight test series will continue when repairs to the aircraft have been made at the Salt Lake City manufacturing facility.

 GBA President David Groen, the aircraft was beginning a routine takeoff and rolled to the right. "We do not know yet why this incident occurred, but are working closely with the appropriate authorities to determine the cause," he said.
