BRAMPTON, ON -- Recognizing the participation of the Sikh community, the Emergency Department at the new Brampton Hospital campus, to open in 2007, will be called the "Guru Nanak Noun 1. Guru Nanak - Indian religious leader who founded Sikhism in dissent from the caste system of Hinduism; he taught that all men had a right to search for knowledge of God and that spiritual liberation could be attained by meditating on the name of God  Emergency Services emergency services Emergency care '…services …necessary to prevent death or serious impairment of health and, because of the danger to life or health, require the use of the most accessible hospital available and equipped to furnish those services'  Department". The hospital is part of the William Osler Sir William Osler, 1st Baronet (July 12, 1849 – December 29, 1919) was a Canadian-born physician. He has been called one of the greatest icons of modern medicine and described as the Father of Modern Medicine. (Osler himself thought Avicenna held this honour.  Health Centre.
