Gum Tech Names Erik Lunell, M.D. to Scientific Advisory Committee.

Lunell currently serves as an associate professor in clinical pharmacology Clinical pharmacology is the science of drugs and their clinical use. He is the author or co-author of numerous peer-related articles on the clinical pharmacology of various drugs and has written a Swedish pharmacology textbook which is in wide use today throughout Sweden.

Lunell received his M.S. degree in pharmacy (1969) at the University of Stockholm, Sweden, and his M.D. (1976) and Ph.D. (1993) degrees in medicine at the University of Lund, Sweden.

Lunell was a member of the research management group at Pharmacia & Upjohn, Heisenbourg, Sweden, and later went on to hold positions as medical director and as director of clinical pharmacology. Today, Lunell is an independent consultant to the pharmaceutical industry.

Gum Tech distributes its nutrient and therapeutic chewing gum products to more than 80 percent of the nation's top drugstore chains, including Walgreens, Osco, Thrifty-Payless and Sav-On. The company also enjoys a strong nationwide position in convenience-store chains and health food stores and has entered major supermarket chains.
