Guardian Healthcare Systems Releases FlowPoint(TM) 6.1; Enhancements Include Seamless Integration of Voice Recognition and Improved Workflow and Reporting.

HERNDON, Va. -- Guardian Healthcare Systems, a division of Guardian Technologies International, Inc. (GDTIE.OB), today announced the release of FlowPoint(TM) 6.1. FlowPoint is an integrated, Web-based Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) that enables healthcare enterprises to combine patient medical data and radiology images into one digital record to facilitate enhanced patient care, reductions in potential medical errors, and lower administrative costs.

FlowPoint 6.1 includes an optional module for report dictation using the Dragon(TM) NaturallySpeaking(R) SDK software developers toolkit from Nuance Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:NUAN). With this enhancement, radiologists have the flexibility to navigate to multiple applications on the same system without any interruption of their speech-to-text voice-recognition dictation. This transparent access to voice recognition enables a highly flexible workflow for the radiologist.

FlowPoint 6.1 also includes digital voice-recording capability integrated with the voice-recognition system. This enables radiologists to record a digital voice file that can be converted into text by the Dragon NaturallySpeaking voice-recognition engine at a later time. The digital recording functionality is also a useful tool for transcriptionists when validating voice-recognition-generated text.

FlowPoint 6.1 includes additional updates and enhancements, including:

--A larger label printing library of templates;

--Extended international language vocabularies;

--An updated set of Crystal Reports, which address referring physician exam volumes and modality analysis reporting;

--An enhanced scheduling and calendar module that displays more patient exam information, enabling quicker access to important information;

--The ability to share information with an unlimited number of referring physicians;

--Enhanced search tools to provide faster, more convenient access to information.
