Grupo Taca Offers ``New Look'' Service Between Miami, Belize, and Flores, Guatemala.


GUATEMALA CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 16, 1999--

Grupo TACA Grupo Taca is the flag airline of El Salvador, comprised of a group of five combined Central American airlines. The company is owned by the Kriete family of San Salvador. Originally an acronym of Transportes AĆ©reos Centroamericanos , the airline of Central America Central America, narrow, southernmost region (c.202,200 sq mi/523,698 sq km) of North America, linked to South America at Colombia. It separates the Caribbean from the Pacific. , announces that it is implementing a "new look" daily jet service connecting Miami with Belize City Belize City, capital (1993 est. pop. 47,724) of Belize dist., Belize, at the mouth of the Belize River, on the Caribbean Sea. The revised service starts June 19 and operates daily through the summer. The route is being jointly promoted by Grupo TACA and the Ministry of Tourism of Belize.

The route provides new morning service from Belize to Miami with late afternoon return service out of Miami back to Belize. This pattern of service allows for good connections to European, Caribbean, and domestic US flights so that tourists can more easily access the spectacular beaches, reefs, and eco-tourist sites of Belize. Grupo TACA has been serving the Miami - Belize market for many years but with a midday schedule.

The new service also continues from Belize to Flores, Guatemala and to Guatemala City Guatemala City

The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. .

Additionally, the route connects Belize City with Guatemala City also with single plane service.

The flight will be operated by a two cabin Grupo TACA B737 seating 8 Clase Ejecutiva (business class) and 103 coach passengers.
