Groupe Sagem Expands U.S. Distribution with Ingram Micro; Complete Range of Sagem ISDN and Videoconferencing Products for Macintosh Computers Available Now.

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 6, 1997--Groupe Sagem, a high technology group and a leading supplier of ISDN and videoconferencing products for Macintosh environments, today announced a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro Inc., the world's largest distributor of technology products and services.

Through the agreement, Sagem will be expanding its product distribution across the United States.

Sagem's products are the first ISDN-based products to be sold through Ingram Micro's Macintosh division. The company's products are geared to users in environments such as education, desktop publishing, small office/home office (SOHO), telecommuters and consumers.

Sagem Planet ISDN Products

Sagem ISDN products allow users to be the fastest Internet surfers and transfer data at the highest speeds. The Sagem Planet internal ISDN cards and external ISDN Geoport adapter work with any Macintosh computer with an 68020 or greater processor for fast digital connections. Sagem ISDN products are compatible with standard protocols including Transparent, HDLC, PPP, MLPPP, LAPB (X.75), X.25 EuroFile, X.25 64K or X.25-MLP 128K, enabling it to exchange data with other types of ISDN cards.

Sagem Meet-Me H.320 Videoconferencing Products

Sagem offers a full range of videoconferencing solutions for the Macintosh computer. All videoconferencing products have ISDN adapters and a full set of ISDN applications including: high-speed file transfer (EasyTransfer) and collaborative applications using a shared whiteboard and LAN interconnection. Meet-Me products are compatible with the QuickTime conferencing ISDN kit.

For users who already have an ISDN connection line and a Power Macintosh computer with video and audio input devices. Sagem offers Meet-Me-Light, a software-only solution which delivers the power of a complete videoconferencing solution at a fraction of the cost.
