Group Technologies Receives $1.2 Million Contract From Litton Systems Inc. to Manufacture Circuit Card Assemblies.

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 28, 2000

Group Technologies Corporation ("GroupTech"), a subsidiary of Sypris Solutions, Inc., today announced it has received a $1.2 million contract from Litton to build circuit card assemblies for the Mini-Eyesafe Laser Infrared An invisible band of radiation at the lower end of the visible light spectrum. With wavelengths from 750 nm to 1 mm, infrared starts at the end of the microwave spectrum and ends at the beginning of visible light.  Observation Set (MELIOS MELIOS Mini Eye-Safe Laser Infrared Observation Set ) program. The MELIOS is a lightweight, portable, laser rangefinder A device which uses laser energy for determining the distance from the device to a place or object.  that provides accurate range information to military personnel.

GroupTech will manufacture approximately four different styles of circuit card assemblies for approximately 350 units for Litton Systems' Laser Systems Division, located in Apopka, FL. Product deliveries began in January 2000.
