Development of a new Software Defined Northrop Grumman's Space Technology sector that is designed to increase the range of radios operated by troops on the ground. Under the Midband to Highband Power Amplifier co-operative agreement between the Army Communications-Electronics Command and Northrop Grumman, the amplifier will include support for the Wideband networking Waveform that is currently under development by the Joint Tactical Radio System Cluster 1 programme. Tee power amp must be capable of transmitting wideband data waveforms with significantly greater power output within the existing size and weight parameters. The company expects a five-fold power increase to be available through the use of its new high-efficiency design.
