Ground broken on new community.

Surrounded by dignitaries, business and community leaders and guests, officials of Engel Burman Senior Housing cut the ribbon on March 1 marking the official Grand Opening of The Bristal at East Meadow, the premiere new assisted living community located at the corner of Hempstead Turnpike and Merrick Avenue.

Officials on hand to celebrate the event included Nassau County Executive Thomas Gullota, Town of Hempstead Supervisor Richard Guardino, State Senator Kemp Hannon and Councilwoman Dorothy Goosby.

Already a huge success with its units filling quickly, The Bristal has a distinct "residential feel" while offering its senior residents a broad range of activities, social programs, and personal care assistance.
