, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 5, 1995-- Grossman's Inc. (NASDAQ-GROS) reported September September: see month.  1995 sales of $76.2 million, 15.3% below sales of $90.0 million in September 1994.

The Company operated 104 stores in 1995, as compared to 119 in 1994. Comparable store sales for September 1995 increased in its Contractors' Warehouse Division and declined in its Eastern Division, with total comparable store sales 8.5% below the 1994 level.

Sales for the three months ended September 1995 totalled $194.1 million, 14.2% below the $226.1 for the same period in 1994. Comparable store sales for the three months ended September 1995 were 6.1% below the 1994 level.

Sales for the nine months ended September 1995 totalled $514.8 million, 11.4% below the $581.3 for the same period in 1994. Comparable store sales for the nine months ended September 1995 were 3.9% below the 1994 level.
