Gridware Announces CODINE and GRD Version 5 Load Management and Resource Management Software.


PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 16, 1999--

Gridware, Inc., today announced the release of version 5 of the popular load management software CODINE CODINE Computing in Distributed Network Environment
CODINE Client Server Oriented Distributed Interprocessing Network Environment
 and policy management software GRD GRD Guard
GRD Grenada (ISO Country code)
GRD Greek Drachma (old currency code; replaced by EUR)
GRD Gulf Region Division (US Army Corps of Engineers) 
 (Global Resource Director). The software products will be available November 30, 1999.

This release enhances both products with new features and improved performance. CODINE provides robust load balancing The fine tuning of a computer system, network or disk subsystem in order to more evenly distribute the data and/or processing across available resources. For example, in clustering, load balancing might distribute the incoming transactions evenly to all servers, or it might redirect them  for heterogeneous, distributed computing environments, while GRD adds full policy management capabilities. CODINE and GRD are the leading object-oriented commercially available tools for resource management.

The new enhancements combine improved job control and monitoring capabilities with powerful rescheduling features. EDA (1) (Electronic Design Automation) Using the computer to design, lay out, verify and simulate the performance of electronic circuits on a chip or printed circuit board.  and Digital Content users can leverage new job array features for rapid turnaround. Scalability of cluster size and simultaneous jobs, already a competitive strength for CODINE and GRD, has been improved.
