Greg Lindberg buys all the assets of Tom Woodall's Garrett Communications.

Garrett is a masculine Irish, and Anglo-Saxon first name, or surname meaning "Lord of the spear", "spear brave" or "spear wielder".
 Communications, a b-to-b publisher of travel industry newsletters, have been sold to Travel Research Bureau Inc., owned by Greg Lindberg. He will operate the Garrett properties under the Travel Research name.

Garrett was founded in 1993 by Tom Woodall, who was president of the company until its sale. Norman Rentrop Norman Rentrop (born 1957 in Bonn) is a German publisher, author and investor.

He is owner/shareholder of the German - based "Rentrop publishing group", "Rentrop & Straton" in Romania, "Wiedza i Praktyka" in Poland.
, of Bonn, Germany, was a minority investor.

Garrett's properties included three print and electronic newsletters--including the flagship, $547/year Travel Distribution Report--a daily electronic news service, books and reports, and two major annual travel industry 4 conferences.
