Greer Adds Staff Veterinarian Dr. Contessa Thomas to Veterinary Division Team.

LENOIR, N.C. -- Greer, a leading developer and provider of allergy immunotherapy products and treatments, is pleased to announce the addition of Staff Veterinarian Dr. Contessa Thomas to its Veterinary Division Team.

Dr. Thomas' responsibilities will include technical training and serving as a liaison to dermatology and general practice veterinarians pursuing allergy testing and treatment for their patients. Prior to joining Greer, Dr. Thomas was in private practice at Crestview Veterinary Hospital in Marion, N.C., where she diagnosed and treated more than 6,000 patients per year, including companion pets, horses and small ruminants. During her years in private practice, she also focused on special interests such as dermatology, senior wellness, client education and emergency management.

"Dr. Thomas represents another step Greer has taken toward expert support for veterinarians treating canine, feline and equine allergy-related diseases," says Dr. Dunbar Gram, a veterinary dermatologist in private practice in Virginia Beach, Va. Dr. Gram also serves as a consultant with Greer and works with Dr. Thomas to assist Greer's veterinary customers with questions on allergic patients.

Greer's Executive Vice President Dr. Robert Esch says he regards the addition of Dr. Thomas to Greer's staff as a greater opportunity to devote more resources and educational assistance to General Practice Veterinarians and Veterinary Dermatologists.

Dr. Thomas graduated with a Bachelor of Animal Science degree from Alabama A&M University near Huntsville, Ala., in 1998. She earned a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.
