WHAT: Browne Greene and Mark T. Quigley with Greene Broillet &
Wheeler will hold a press conference on Friday, February 24, 2006 at
10:00 AM in front of the Santa Ana Superior Court, 751 West Santa Ana
Boulevard, Santa Ana, CA. 92701 to announce the filing of four more
fraud law suits against the Regents of the University of California
over its University of California at Irvine's Liver Transplant
Program.
This is the first time that victims of UCI's Liver Transplant
Program will appear together as a group. Greene Broillet & Wheeler
clients who have lost a family member or who are still waiting for a
liver transplant will also participate. Elodie Irvine, the firm's
client who is appealing the earlier settlement of her lawsuit against
UCI's Liver Transplant Program, will make a special announcement.
WHO: Edward Bell, Audrey Degenhardt and Regenia Hope, who each lost
a loved one that was on the UCI Liver Transplant waiting list, will
talk about the travails of watching their family member needlessly die
of end stage liver disease only to be compounded by the shock of
learning about UCI's deception about its inability to perform liver
transplant surgeries.
Chris Millington, Richard Farmer, and Diane Tovar will talk about
their current status as liver transplant hopefuls after the UCI Liver
Transplant Program was decertified on November 10, 2005.
Elodie Irvine, also a victim of the Regents' fraudulent conduct
and a liver transplant survivor, will make a special announcement.
Browne Greene and Mark T. Quigley, who are lead trial counsel in
14 cases against UCI's Liver Transplant program, represent the Arms,
Degenhardt, Hambarian, and Wade families, among others. These
plaintiffs all filed complaints for damages in Santa Ana Superior
Court on January 6, 2006 for the wrongful death of a family member who
allegedly died while under the care of UCI's Liver Transplant Program.
Greene Broillet & Wheeler also represents Barry Johnson, Chris
Millington, Yolanda Sanchez, and Diane Tovar, who also filed
complaints for damages that same day as well for personal injuries
allegedly sustained while awaiting an organ transplant as a patient of
UCI's Medical Center. Arms, et. al. vs. Regents of the University of
California, Case Number 06CC01920.
