One such project is the Polluted Places Initiative , has begun producing and broadcasting environmental health programs on Radio Mozambique's two main channels. Topics to date have included the causes and prevention of cholera cholera (kŏl`ərə) or Asiatic cholera, acute infectious disease caused by strains of the bacterium Vibrio cholerae that have been infected by bacteriophages.
