Green building conference to come alive at Cambrian College.Both the history and the future of energy-efficient building design and construction will be examined at the one-day Living Building Conference and Trade Show held Sep. 27 at Sudbury's Cambrian College Cambrian College is a college of applied arts and technology in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. Established in 1967, and funded by the province of Ontario, Cambrian has campuses in Sudbury, Espanola and Little Current. . To be located in the college's eDome, the conference will focus on how to build homes, and some of the prevailing trends in a climate change era. The event will feature various speakers, including Jason F. McLennan, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. of the Cascadia Green Building Council, and Peter Love, Ontario's Chief Energy Conservation Officer. An accompanying trade show will feature displays from green builders, alternative energy businesses as well as manufacturers. The event ties into Cambrian's plans to build a research and education facility known as the Sustainable Energy
Sustainable energy sources are energy sources which are not expected to be depleted in a timeframe relevant to the human race, and which Centre, and the recent development of its new Energy Systems Technology program.
