The seller of the domain is David Sams Industries, Inc. of Beverly Hills, California. The company's Internet division, SamsDirect Internet, is responsible for the incredible growth of the dot cc domain via its www.spot.cc domain registration service. Since the beginning of this year, nearly 100,000 .cc domain names have been sold by SamsDirect. The BEAUTY.CC domain was purchased by the company in 1998, prior to getting into the domain registration business.
