 involving the marital problems of DCI Lorimer adds a humanizing element to his personality.

Dunlop's reading of this complex mystery is excellent. His British accent helps establish the setting for this intriguing view of the backstage workings of a large professional musical organization. He changes his voice for many of the main characters in this novel. Especially noteworthy is his accent for the visiting Russian guest conductor. Carol Kellerman, ret.
