Graphisoft US and Drawbase Unite Under Leadership of Al Moulton.

Graphisoft today announced that Al Moulton, president of Drawbase, has been appointed president of Graphisoft US, becoming the head of all operations of Graphisoft in North America with offices in Boston, San Francisco and San Antonio, TX.

The move further strengthens Graphisoft's product offering, including ArchiCAD, ArchiFM, Drawbase and digital catalogs based on GDL technology. Tamas Hajas, president of Graphisoft U.S. Inc. since 1998, will return to Graphisoft R&D headquarters in his capacity as executive vice-president to lead strategic development.

Moulton is a 25-year veteran of the CAD industry, and has successfully led Drawbase for 15 years, achieving market leadership in the FM marketplace. Before joining Drawbase, Moulton served as a vice president at Applicon and held various management positions at Raytheon, Sanders Associates and Xerox.

Hajas joined Graphisoft in 1985 as a software engineer and is credited as the inventor of GDL (geometric description language), which is a key component of ArchiCAD. Before becoming president of Graphisoft US, Hajas served as Graphisoft's vice president of R&D, where he was responsible for the entire R&D process and customer care.
