U.S. premium papermaker SMART Papers said there are seven days left to enter its design contest that gives graphic arts graphic arts: see aquatint; drawing; drypoint; engraving; etching; illustration; linoleum block printing; lithography; mezzotint; niello; pastel; poster; silk-screen printing; silhouette; silverpoint; sketch; stencil; woodcut and wood engraving.  professionals and students a rare opportunity to see their work exhibited in the Smithsonian Institution Smithsonian Institution, research and education center, at Washington, D.C.; founded 1846 under terms of the will of James Smithson of London, who in 1829 bequeathed his fortune to the United States to create an establishment for the "increase and diffusion of . The design work, in the form of a kite, will be judged by some of world's most respected design experts including Milton Glaser, Judy Kirpich and Ann Willoughby. Forty finalists will have their creations exhibited at the Smithsonian starting March 21.

Courtesy of SMART Papers, the top 10 grand prize winners and their guests will be flown to Washington D.C., put up at the luxurious Hay Adams hotel, and feted at a reception at the Smithsonian, where they'll see their design exhibited.
