The United States Tennis Association (USTA) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis in the United States.
 were busy choosing the winners. The results were announced in mid-February. Out of the 414 applications received, 80 grants were awarded with a total of $250,000 donated in increments up to $5,000 each. This distribution is a 36 percent increase from 2003, when only 51 grants were distributed.
