Grant Unveils Squirrel SQ2010 Data Logger - The Friendliest Squirrel Yet!

CAMBRIDGE, England -- Grant Instruments (www.grant.co.uk), a world renowned manufacturer and supplier of data acquisition, scientific and life sciences products, has introduced the Squirrel squirrel, name for small or medium-sized rodents of the family Sciuridae, found throughout the world except in Australia, Madagascar, and the polar regions; it is applied especially to the tree-living species.  SQ2010, a powerful and portable, handheld data logger data logger - data logging .

The unit is designed for mobile data logging (data) data logging - (data acquisition) Storing a series of measurements over time, usually from a sensor that converts a physical quantity such as temperature, pressure, relative humidity, light, resistance, current, power, speed, vibration into a voltage that is then converted  applications such as field research and external engineering projects e.g. environmental projects, service or commissioning systems or processes, in food manufacture and research and in all general engineering and manufacturing production projects.

With its ultra compact size, intuitive graphical display and very easy configuration, the new Squirrel SQ2010 is ready to use straight from the box. The rapid set-up is achieved via its integral four button operator interface - giving accurate (better than 0.1%) and reliable results within minutes of switching on. The Squirrel SQ2010 also boasts excellent battery life for unattended logging.

This highly flexible, multi-purpose logger has four differential (or eight single ended (hardware) single ended - An electrical connection where one wire carries the signal and another wire or shield is connected to electrical ground. This is in contrast to a differential connection where the second wire carries an inverted signal. ) analogue (electronics) analogue - (US: "analog") A description of a continuously variable signal or a circuit or device designed to handle such signals. All eight event inputs can either be logged or used as triggers to automatically start or stop logging.

See inboard.  memory can store up to 1.8 million readings as well as retain up to six separate logger configurations. The unit is able to fulfil many data logging needs, including more demanding applications requiring up to 10 readings per second on one channel.

The Squirrel SQ2010 also features two pulse rate/counter inputs (one at 64 kHz, one at up to 100Hz), two alarm/relay outputs, and a high specification 24-bit analogue to digital converter (1) A device that changes one set of codes, modes, sequences or frequencies to a different set.  connection.

The onboard RS232 communications can be connected to a modem, a wireless interface or an Ethernet converter to facilitate system networking and the remote transmission of data. SquirrelView set-up and download software for a PC is provided as part of the system to enable users to export stored data to a chosen PC based application.
