This short novel has humor humor, according to ancient theory, any of four bodily fluids that determined man's health and temperament. Hippocrates postulated that an imbalance among the humors (blood, phlegm, black bile, and yellow bile) resulted in pain and disease, and that good health was , wackiness, intelligence, and suspense--what else would we wish for young YAs? Cyril's mother Andy had him when she was 15 years old, and now, 13 years later, she finishes law school (with HIS help) and gets a real job in a storefront law office. A man named Byron who is missing a hand shows up at their doorstep, and Andy unexpectedly takes him in, giving him Cyril's bedroom and making Cyril sleep on the couch On the Couch is an Australian television program formally broadcast on the Fox Footy Channel and it focuses on the current issues in the AFL. This is now broadcast on Fox Sports after the closure of Fox Footy Channel.

The show airs on Monday night and is hosted by Gerard Healy.
. What hold does this man have on her? Cyril eavesdrops and snoops SNOOPS - Craske, 1988. An extension of SCOOPS with meta-objects that can redirect messages to other objects. "SNOOPS: An Object-Oriented language Enhancement Supporting Dynamic Program Reeconfiguration", N. Craske, SIGPLAN Notices 26(10): 53-62 (Oct 1991).  and finds out that Byron took a rap for Andy when she was a teenager, and went to jail in her stead.

The plot gets really thick, involving arson, blackmailed immigrants, a hypocritical hyp·o·crit·i·cal  
adj.
1. Characterized by hypocrisy: hypocritical praise.

2. Being a hypocrite: a hypocritical rogue.
 do-gooder, kidnapping, and maybe total ruin for Andy and Cyril. Cyril figures out the crime and the criminal, enlists the help of a buddy and his mother's boss, and sets out to rescue Andy and Byron. It all gets crazier and crazier, with some real laugh-out-loud moments. Andy has an anger management problem and yells a lot and talks like this. especially to Byron: "If I ever see that beeping Beeping is a cellphone communications tactic where a cash-strapped cellphone caller gets the person he/she is "beeping" to call him/her back. [1] Method  ugly face of yours again. I'm going to call the beeping cops." She also is fiercely protective of her son, and obviously loves him very much. Cyril isn't confused about her at all. really. Each chapter begins with some legal term, just like the title itself; the author says she is surrounded by lawyers in her own family, so she understands Cyril. Claire Rosser, KLIATT
