Grand-prize winner.

The second time was the charm for our 2007 Art Contest Grand-Prize winner, who just last year was named a finalist in the 2006 contest.

Seven-year-old Henry Hecht's drawing of deer sipping from a stream in a shadowy forest made it all the way to the top.

Henry often sees deer in the woods around his family's New Jersey home, says Henry's mother. She also said that Henry is very creative; he loves art, likes to draw, build with Legos, and work puzzles. His 2006 contest entry that was named the Turtle Magazine finalist was a picture of colorful hot-air balloons rising through a beautiful blue sky.

Henry also likes to draw cars and castles, and has a good eye for detail. Henry also enjoys writing poems to go with his art.

As our grand-prize winner, Henry will get a $2,000 scholarship and the following great prizes:

--Pedometer

--"How to draw" video

--Timex watch

--Coloring book

--Subscription to

Humpty Dumpty for his teacher/classroom
