Total revenues for the first quarter increased to $1,566,000 from $1,181,000 in the prior year, largely attributable to the inclusion of Memphis Motorsports Park Memphis Motorsports Park is a race track located in just across the Loosahatchie River from Memphis, Tennessee, approximately ten miles south of Millington, Tennessee. "We also continue to focus on the redevelopment of our Gateway facility, which has been under construction since May 1996." Pook continued: "We are extremely excited about the major sanctioned races scheduled at both facilities in 1997. These race dates not only fulfill a commitment we made upon our initial public offering to secure a year-round schedule, but also serve to validate our strategy to utilize our expertise and our established relationships with the sanctioning sanc·tion n. 1.
