Grade XII exams from May 16.

KATHMANDU, May 9 -- The examinations of Grade XII conducted by Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB HSEB Health Sciences Education Building (University of Utah Health Sciences Center, Salt Lake City, UT) ) that was put off last week due to UCPN (Maoist) disruption will be resumed from May 16.

The meeting of Higher Secondary Education Council (HSEC) held on Sunday decided to conduct the grade XII examination from May 16 and grade XI examination from May 30.

The exams that were disrupted by the Maoists agitation and the remaining exams will be conducted nationwide as per the new routine, council's spokesperson Narayan Koirala informed.

Grade XII exam will be concluded on May 26 and grade XI on June 10.

Earlier, the HSEB had put off the exam indefinitely after All Nepal National Independent Students' Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R ANNISU-R All Nepal National Independent Students' Union - Revolutionary ), the Maoist student wing, obstructed the examinations. There were altogether nearly 700 examinations centers across the nation.

The HSEB had been conducting the grade 12 examinations from April 29. Around 350,000 students have filled up their forms to appear in the examinations.
