The U.S. member body is ANSI. ) 14001 certification for its plant in Sant SANT South African Native Trust Boi, Spain. This certification is part of the company's continuing commitment to global environmental, health and safety. To earn ISO 14001 certification, companies are required to have an Environmental Management System (EMS) in place. EMS is a systematic approach to business planning that measures performance and includes steps for achieving desired levels. The companies must identify the environmental aspects and impacts associated with their businesses and establish objectives and targets for continuous improvement. The EMS objectives can include increased recycling, waste reduction, energy savings and product life cycle assessment. Sant Boi is the fourth Grace location to receive the certification and joins plants in Dubai, United Arab Emirates United Arab Emirates, federation of sheikhdoms (2005 est. pop. 2,563,000), c.30,000 sq mi (77,700 sq km), SE Arabia, on the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. ; Dueren, Germany; and Widnes, United Kingdom that share this distinction. Additional locations are currently undergoing or will begin the process.
