Goys new strategy reviewed.

GENERAL secretary of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa Khalifa (خليفة ẖalīfä) is Arabic for "stewardship" of nature and family, and is a key obligation of a Muslim.  reviewed the new strategy (2012-2016) to be launched by the General Organisation for Youth and Sports (Goys) in order to improve youth and sports activities in the Kingdom.

This came during Shaikh Salman's meeting with Goys president Hisham Al Jowder in presence of Youth and Sports Affairs director general Abdulrahman Askar Askar is an Arabic word meaning guard or soldier, derived from the Persian Lashkar. The term may refer to:

Places
  • Askar (Palestine), Palestinian camp in 2000-2002
  • Al-Askar, the capital of Egypt from 750-868 AD
 and other Goys officials.

Shaikh Salman was briefed by sports specialist Redha Al Mosawi on the new strategy of Goys and its mission to keep pace with global developments in the field of youth and sports while Al Jowder outlined the organisation's other plans.

Shaikh Salman lauded the great efforts made by Goys in preparing a strategy to improve the sports movement in the Kingdom under the direct support from the leadership.

Vision

He noted that the new strategy was fully in line with the vision of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa (Arabic: الشيخ ناصر بن حمد آل خليفة) is the president of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation.  and it aimed at improving all aspects of youth and sports.

On his part, Al Jowder thanked Shaikh Nasser and Shaikh Salman for their backing of this new strategy.
