Governor makes JNC appointments.

Governor Charlie Crist recently made the following appointments to various judicial nominating commissions:

First District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission:

* Peter Antonacci of Tallahassee, with Gray Robinson, succeeding Monesia Brown, appointed for a term beginning February 5, 2008, and ending July 1, 2011.

* Augustin Corbella of Tallahassee, director of government affairs with Greenburg Traurig, succeeding Jason Gonzalez, appointed for a term beginning February 5, 2008, and ending July 1, 2011.

* Katherine Eastmoore Giddings of Crawfordville, with Akerman Senterfitt, succeeding Stephen Turner, appointed for a term beginning February 5, 2008, and ending July 1, 2011.

Fifth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission:

* Jonathan Kilman of Orlando, with Foley & Lardner, succeeding James Fowler, appointed for a term beginning January 25, 2008, and ending July 1, 2011.

* Kirk Kirkconnell of Winter Park, with Kirkconnell, Lindsay, Snure & Yates PA, succeeding Ladd Fassett, appointed for a term beginning January 25, 2008, and ending July 1, 2011.

Second Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission:

* Richard Doran of Tallahassee, with Ausley & McMullen, reappointed for a term beginning January 28, 2008, and ending July 1, 2011.

* Clark Jennings of Tallahassee, senior attorney with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, succeeding Brian Duffy, appointed for a term beginning January 28, 2008, and ending July 1, 2011.

* Kelly Overstreet Johnson of Tallahassee, with Broad and Cassel, succeeding Augustin Corbella, appointed for a term beginning January 28, 2008, and ending July 1, 2011.

First Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission:

* Stephen Pitre of Pensacola, with Clark, Partington, Hart, Larry, Bond & Stackhouse, succeeding William Bond, Jr., appointed for a term beginning January 25, 2008, and ending July 1, 2011.

Twentieth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission:
