Governor Joins PA Lottery and Turkey Hill to Kick Off Powerball Sales.Assignment & News Editors MIDDLETOWN, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 24, 2002 Governor Mark Schweiker will join the Pennsylvania Lottery The Pennsylvania Lottery is the state lottery of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It was created by the Pennsylvania Legislature on August 26, 1971 and that October, Henry Kaplan was appointed as its first Executive Director. The Lottery premiered on March 7, 1972. and Turkey Hill stores to kick off the first day of Powerball(R) ticket sales in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Pennsylvania (pĕnsəlvā`nyə), one of the Middle Atlantic states of the United States. It is bordered by New Jersey, across the Delaware River (E), Delaware (SE), Maryland (S), West Virginia (SW), Ohio (W), and Lake Erie and New York Thursday, June 27, 2002, at a special media event. The event will be held at the Turkey Hill location at 4850 Union Deposit Road in Harrisburg. Turkey Hill Minit Markets is a division of Kroeger. Turkey Hill's "Turkey Hilda" and the Turkey Hilda Van will be at the store throughout both media events. Planning to join Governor Schweiker are Secretary of Revenue Larry P.
