Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has appointed Ryan Alsop, Bonny Herman, Mary Ann Lutz and David Nahai to the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has appointed Ryan Alsop, Bonny Bonny (bŏn`ē), town, SE Nigeria, in the Niger River delta, on the Bight of Biafra. In the 18th and 19th cent., Bonny was the center of a powerful trading state, and in the 19th cent. it became the leading site for slave exportation in W Africa. Herman, Mary Ann Lutz and David Nahai to the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board. Alsop is director of government and public affairs for Long Beach Water. Herman is president and chief executive of the Valley Industry and Commerce Association; Lutz is a Monrovia City Council member and its representative to the Los Angeles County Solid Waste Management Committee, and Nahai is president of Nahai Law Corp. and has been a member of the regional board since 1997. Alsop is a Republican; Herman, Lutz and Nahai are Democrats. The positions require state Senate confirmation.
