NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 19, 2004

Today Gouvis Engineering Consulting Group, Inc. announced the expansion of its commercial division to include a greater number of commercial projects in a variety of industries and markets. A leader in structural engineering innovations for countless residential and light commercial projects, Gouvis is now applying that same cutting-edge technology to an expanding list of high-rises, entertainment properties, office complexes, parking structures and mix-use projects.

To handle this growth, Gouvis has named Danny S. Wong as Director, Commercial Division. Wong will oversee the growth and development of the firm's commercial work and his scope of responsibilities include not only the firm's existing commercial projects, but also the new dimension of strategic and tactical planning for future commercial work nationally and internationally.

"We are privileged to have a professional of Danny Wong's breadth and depth of expertise join the Gouvis team. His diversified and successful experience in commercial structural engineering -- on quite sizeable projects -- will provide a valuable dimension in the future growth of this important division," said Saeed Bekam, President of Gouvis.

Wong joins Gouvis with over 20 years in structural engineering and project management for schools, universities, laboratories, hotel properties, retail centers, residential high-rises, parking structures and office complexes.
