Gotham Book Mart moves.


Newmark New Spectrum just closed on a $5.2 million deal for the Gotham Book Mart and Gallery, the literary landmark in existence in New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 since 1920.

Gotham Book Mart & Gallery has purchased a five-story, 13,250 s/f building at 16 E. 46th St., between Madison and Fifth Avenues for its new flagship.

After more than a year of searching for new quarters to replace its historic "Diamond District" building on 47th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenue, which has been recently sold, the retailer found its new location.

Craig Slosberg and Ross Kaplan, of Newmark New Spectrum, represented the tenant in the transaction.

"The building was a perfect fit for my operation and allowed for future expansion" said Andreas Brown, the bookstore owner.

The owners of Gotham Book Mart and Gallery were represented by Bob Knakal, of Massey Knakal Realty realty n. a short form of "real estate." (See: real estate)
