Gordon W. Washburn Joins Gabelli Research Team.

RYE, N.Y. -- GAMCO Investors, Inc. (NYSE: GBL) announced today that Gordon W. Washburn will join Gabelli & Company, Inc., the institutional research arm of GAMCO. His research coverage will focus on the energy area, including Nuclear, Coal Degasification and Oil Service and Equipment.

Mr. Washburn spent the last five and a half years at Bear, Stearns and Company, Inc. as a member of the Equity Research-Energy Group following his graduation from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business where he earned his MBA in Finance and Economics. Mr. Washburn completed his undergraduate degree at Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Affairs before joining the U.S. Department of Energy's office of Foreign Intelligence.
