Google (Google, Mountain View, CA, www.google.com) The largest search engine on the Web, founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, two Stanford University students. In 1996, they developed their "BackRub" search engine, named after its unique page ranking method (explained below).  has announced the launch of ten new interface languages for Google Sitemaps (beta):Freneh, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese Brazilian Portuguese (português brasileiro in Portuguese) is a group of dialects of Portuguese written and spoken by virtually all the 190 million inhabitants of Brazil and by a couple million Brazilian emigrants, mainly in the United States, United Kingdom, Portugal, , Russian, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, and UK English. A free and collaborative crawling system, Google Sitemaps enables webmasters to submit their web pages--including those designed specifically for mobile devices--for inclusion in Google's index. It is meant to provide Google with more information about web content so they can improve the quality of search results for users worldwide.

This announcement demonstrates Google's ongoing efforts to create innovative web search technologies that make fmding relevant information faster and easier, whether from a desktop computer or mobile device. Before Google Sitemaps, webmasters could only publish their pages to the web and simply wait for Google to crawl To search the Internet for hosts, Web pages or blogs. Google Sitemaps is intended for all webmasters, from those with a single web page to companies with millions of ever-changing pages. Here's how it works: Webmasters can sign up for the program at http//www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps They then generate and submit an XML XML
 in full Extensible Markup Language.

Markup language developed to be a simplified and more structural version of SGML. It incorporates features of HTML (e.g., hypertext linking), but is designed to overcome some of HTML's limitations.

Webmasters do not need a Google account A Google Account is a user account allowing to the user to access to more Google services like Google Groups.  to generate and submit sitemaps. However, if they do sign up they can log in to check the status of their sitemaps and view diagnostic information for their submissions.

This program does not replace, rather it enhances, the crawl technology Google currently uses to discover web content. Additionally, using Google Sitemaps neither guarantees that a site will be included in the index nor will it have any effect on how sites are ranked on Google Search results pages.
