AOT was formed to service Navistar International Navistar International Corporation (Pink Sheets: NAVZ) (formerly International Harvester Company) is a manufacturer of International brand commercial trucks, MaxxForce brand diesel engines, IC Corporation brand school buses, Workhorse brand chassis for motor homes and step vans, Transportation's plants in Springfield, OH, and Chatham, Ontario. The joint venture's services will include specialty painting of wheels, tire mounting and line sequencing of the tire/wheel assemblies for just-in-time delivery to the plants. AOT is leasing a 136,000 sq. ft. facility which is under construction, and has plans for an initial equipment investment of $4 million to get the facility going for its scheduled mid-July 1992 opening. At capacity, the operation will require an estimated 35 to 40 employees. This joint venture expands the current arrangement with Goodyear to service Navistar. |
