To meet increased demands, Goodyear Chemical has completed a $14 million synthetic polymer expansion at its plant in Beaumont, TX. The expansion adds state-of-the-art processing and packaging lines to provide 10,000 metric tons of additional annual capacity of Goodyear Natsyn, a synthetic replacement for natural rubber. Another expansion, scheduled for completion in 1999 at the Beaumont plant, will provide capacity for an additional 18,200 metric tons of Natsyn. Goodyear Tire & Rubber, Akron, OH, announced that a definitive stock purchase agreement for the sale of All American Pipeline Co., Celeron A family of lower-cost Pentium chips from Intel. The first Celerons in 1998 were Pentium II chips without an L2 cache. In 1999, models included a 128KB cache, which increased performance. As subsequent Pentium chips were introduced with larger caches, the 128KB cache was retained for Celerons. In 2004, the Celeron M was introduced, which is a Celeron/Centrino version of the Pentium M. See Centrino and Pentium M. Gathering Corp. and Celeron Trading & Transportation, in an all-cash transaction, has been entered into with a subsidiary of Plains Resources. Plains is an energy company based in Houston, TX. Aggregate cash proceeds will total approximately $420 million.
