Goodway: Jenny's a bad sport.

RUSSELL Goodway has launched an attack on Welsh Sports Minister Jenny Randerson accusing her of failing to support sport in Cardiff.

The council leader fired the broadside as he hit out at what, he claimed, was a lack of assembly government support for the long-delayed sports village project. But the Cardiff Central AM hit back, describing the criticism as ludicrous.

Mr Goodway said: ``If she was serious about Welsh sport and about creating the conditions to develop Welsh sportsmen and women, then the minister for sport could make pounds 10m available without so much as a second thought.

``For her that would be a decision too far. If ever there's a classic example of an assembly politician who is a fully paid up member of the Anywhere But Cardiff campaign then it's he r.'' Mrs Randerson said: ``Russell Goodway's criticism is ludicrous. The assembly provides around pounds 10m for the Sports Council for Wales for the whole of sport in Wales. ``Since I became minister the indoor athletics stadium at Cyncoed has been built. That shows we are developing Cardiff but I am also the sports minister for the whole of Wa
