Good toons get Pulcinella Awards.The big winner at this year's Pulcinella Awards--an international TV cartoon competition held during the 10th annual Rai Trade-sponsored Cartoons on the Bay festival in Positano, Italy--was Cartoon Network/Warner Bros BROS Brothers BROS Benefits and Retirement Operations Section (King County, Washington) BROS Barnes and Richmond Operatic Society (London, UK) . International Television Italia's Camp Lazlo. The series, which revolves around a free-spirited monkeys summer camp experiences, took home three awards: Best TV Series, Best TV Series for Children, and Lazlo took home the award for Best Character of the Year. Zinkia Entertainment/Granada's Pocoyo, which stars an insatiable little boy and a cast of colorful characters, picked up two awards: Best Pre-school TV Series and Best European Program. Other award recipients included the U.K.'s The Amazing Adrenalini Brothers!, a high-energy, slapstick-heavy series, which took home the Best TV Series for All Ages award; France's sci-fi series Skyland, which took home the Best Action and Adventure TV Series award; South Korea's Day Dream, which deals with prejudice, for Best Educational and Social Program; the U.K.'s 2D Little Kingdom, about tiny fairies and elves who live in a magical, miniscule min·is·cule adj.
