Good news. (signs of the times).


In California, two Catholic parishes issued public statements last fall calling for the abolition of the death penalty, reports Catholic News Service.

After more than a year of discussion, parishioners at St. James Parish in Davis and St. Ignatius Loyola Parish in Sacramento both reached consensus to oppose the death penalty and lobby the state legislature A state legislature may refer to a legislative branch or body of a political subdivision in a federal system.
