Good Samaritan set to be honored for commitment.

The Rita J. and Stanley H. Kaplan House of the Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services announced that the organization will honor Anthony E. Mann, President of E-J Electric Installation Co. and chairman of the Kaplan House Divisional Board on Monday, June 7, at a special cocktail reception to be held at Trust on West 13th Street.

Tony has served on the Kaplan House Divisional Board since 1987 and was named chairman in 2002.

As Chairman he has worked hand-in-hand with Kaplan House staff and numerous volunteers who support the residential facility located in the East Village and the organization's mission: "to help young men prepare to leave the foster care system and more into either autonomous or supportive settings appropriate to their needs; and encouraging independence to the greatest possible degree."

Founded in 1951, the Kaplan House creates a safe, nurturing environment for young men to heal wounds of prior traumas and simultaneously learn important life skills, allowing its residents to reach their highest potential.
