Snickers is a sweet bar made by Mars, Incorporated. , Snickers Cruncher, M&M's Vanilla Fudge, M&M's Mint, Twix Ice Cream, and Twix Peanut Butter. The co-branding does not appear to include novelties at this point. Mars had previously been involved in a licensing agreement with Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, which began in March 2000. It had also been a long time distributor of Mars-branded novelties under its Partner Brands program. But that company's merger last year with Nestle, Mars' top rival in the candy industry, put a strain on that partnership. The new CarbSmart products include a Klondike CarbSmart Ice Cream bar An ice cream bar is a frozen dessert on a stick or a candy bar that has ice cream in it. The coating is usually a thin layer of chocolate. Sometimes there is some crunchy goodness on the outside too. targeting the impulse market; three new single-serve multipacks, including a six-pack of Klondike CarbSmart Ice Cream Sandwiches, and four-packs of Klondike CarbSmart Ice Cream Bars and Fudge Bars; and three new packaged flavors, Mint Chocolate Chip Mint Chocolate Chip is an ice cream flavor composed of mint ice cream and small chips of mint chocolate. In addition to the new CarbSmart and Mars products, Good Humor-Breyers is also introducing a host of Breyers-branded frozen novelties. Among the new items are Breyers Fruit Bars in All Natural Strawberry, Tropical Fruit (Strawberry-Kiwi, Orange-Pineapple, Lemon-Lime), and Fruit Swirl (Strawberry/Lemon, Strawberry/Orange, Strawberry/Blueberry, Blueberry/Lemon) flavors, available in a variety of multi-packs. Breyers appears to be strengthening its branded role in the novelties category. Also new is a Breyers-branded Premium Fudge Bar for the single-serve/impulse category. A Breyers Almond Ice Cream Bar made with Hershey's Coating is also being introduced into the impulse category. Breyers new packaged introductions this season include an all natural Caramel Fudge ice cream; a Vanilla and a Vanilla/Chocolate/Strawberry combination under the All Natural 98% Fat Free Frozen Yogurt label; Orange and Rainbow flavors for its All Natural Fruit Sherbet sher·bet n. 1. also sher·bert A frozen dessert made primarily of fruit juice, sugar, and water, and also containing milk, egg white, or gelatin. 2. In addition to the previously mentioned new CarbSmart novelties, the company is offering and Almond Bar made with Hershey's Coating under the Klondike label. It is also adding three Klondike Slim-A-Bear products: a 98% Fat Free Vanilla and Mint Ice Cream Sandwich Variety Pack; a 98% Fat Free/No Sugar Added Premium Fudge Bar; and a 96% Fat Free Vanilla and Chocolate Sundae Cone Variety Pack. A new Klondike impulse item, offered in addition to the impulse CarbSmart bar, is a Mini-Reese's Pieces Sandwich. Under its Popsicle brand, Good Humor-Breyers is offering multipacks of Sugar Free Popsicles (in Orange, Cherry, and Grape flavor); Sugar Free Creamsicles (sugar free Vanilla-flavored frozen dessert coated in Orange or Cherry ice); and Sugar Free Fudgsicles. Also featured in multipacks for the new season are Minis Snack Size Fruit Bars (in Strawberry, Orange, and Grape flavors); and Jell-O Pudding Pops. A final Popsicle multipack offering is a Tropical Trio of Strawberry, Pineapple, and Lemon/Lime to be distributed in Hispanic markets.
