Gone but not forgotten.

Gone But Not Forgotten

Shortly after the Jr. Food Mart chain filed its recent Chapter 11, we got a call from an Arkansas businessman who says he had agreed to buy the 70-store chain but couldn't close the deal.

The chain, owned by an East Arkansas doctor, grossed approximately $40 million last year. Our mysterious caller says that the chain has had little direction lately, but that he could have turned the business around. At any rate, he claims he's still interested.

"I'm not sure how it's going to play out in court," he says.
