St. Lucia Golf and Country Club will host the Second Annual Air Jamaica Celebrity Golf Tournament June 28-July 1. Registration is being accepted from individuals or groups.

Celebrities participating include television and film actors, entertainers and sports figures.

The list includes Lee Elder Robert Lee Elder (born July 14, 1934) is an American golfer. He is best remembered for becoming the first African-American to play in the Masters Tournament in 1975.

Elder was born in Dallas, Texas. His parents died when he was relatively young.

The pairing party is June 28 with golf the following two days. Tennis and non-golfer activities also are available. Golf registration is $495 and non-golfer participation $295. In addition to the two-day scrambles tournament with cart, range balls and gift bag, the golf registration includes two continental breakfasts, two lunches, pairing party, two dinners, guest for dinners, winners' trophies and drawing prizes. Proceeds from the charity tournament are for the development of St. Lucia's branch of the US/Caribbean Youth Empowerment Program. A kids' clinic facilitated by the Multicultural Golf Association of America follows the tournament on July 1 and features an ongoing international program designed to promote self-esteem and discipline for disadvantaged children through the sport of golf.
