LA Mirada Golf Course was the leading regulation-length public golf course in the county, with 123,536 rounds played in the 2005-2006 fiscal year.

Standard green fees are $21.50 on weekdays and $28 on weekends. Discounts are available for junior and senior golfers as well as during twifight and super twilight twilight, period between sunset and total darkness or between total darkness and sunrise. Total darkness does not occur immediately when the sun sinks below the horizon because light from the sun that strikes the atmosphere is scattered (both by the air itself and by periods. The course is open from dawn to dusk.

The course does not operate any tournaments, but does allow third parties to host tournaments at the course.

Opened in 1953, the course was designed by the William William, crown prince of Germany
William or Frederick William, 1882–1951, crown prince of Germany, son of William II. In World War I he commanded (1914) an army on the Western Front and was nominal commander in the German attack P. Bell and William F. Bell, a father-son duo that designed more than 400 public and private golf courses during their lifetimes.
