Golf: Dougherty to make the cut!

WE have set up our now legendary clubhouse at the extremely flash Pan-Am bar right next to The Beatles museum in The Albert Dock.

The gorgeous and talented Nick Dougherty will be cutting the red ribbon to kick off proceedings tonight.

I woke up at the crack of dawn yesterday to try and catch Tiger teeing off. I missed him but not the gossip that he's really not looking forward to spending four hours with unofficial swing 'expert' Nick Faldo in the first round. Poor old Shingo Katayama.

If he was able to laugh about it, it was more than red-faced BBC bosses could do after being told that two prizes they had offered in aid of the Helen Rollason Heal Cancer charity had turned up on e-bay.

Two passes for the golf, plus lunch and a chance to go behind the scenes to see the commentators in action is a pretty fantastic prize.

And what's more it could still be yours. The auction doesn't close until this evening and the highest bid is currently only pounds 200.
