Goldsmith & Associates arrange 30 retail leases.

Goldschmidt & Associates (G&A), the Scarsdale, NY-based real estate broker, has recently negotiated 30 leases totaling 81,750 square feet and valued at $17.5 million, reports Eric S. Goldschmidt, a partner in the firm.

Pam Bren Goldschmidt, leasing director for Goldschmidt & Associates, said that the activity in the past few months indicates a strong finish in 1997 and an exciting start in 1998.

"Retailers know that Westchester County and the areas surrounding it are where the quality shoppers are and that is where successful business is being done," she said. "Westchester is still under-stored and we see great opportunities, especially in central to northern Westchester Northern Westchester refers to the northern portion of Westchester County, New York (USA), a suburban area north of New York City. Northern Westchester County is generally a wealthier area, and it is also considerably more rural (or at least rural-looking) than its southern  County. That is where the heavy activity will take place in the next few years."

Among their recent transactions, Goldschmidt negotiated a 6,500 square- foot lease at 1329 Boston Post Road The Boston Post Road was a system of roads from New York City to Boston, Massachusetts, containing some of the first major highways in the United States. It began as a path to deliver the post using post riders (the first ride to lay out the Upper Post Road starting January 22,  in Larchmont to Pier 1 Imports Pier 1 Imports Inc.
